More finished July (Adirondack paintings)

Here is the view of Big Moose Lake from a very short steep hike to a place called "Billy's Bald Spot" It was done on 7-11-13










Sorry for the poor quality of the photo, there's a bit of glare. This is the creek that flows between the 6th Lake dam and 5th Lake, and as you can see it was rushing.









As you're probably noticing, the beaver pond, or Hess Pond, it's proper name, has been a favorite spot when I'm at the cabin. It's a short hike, no driving and it feels remote, even though I can hear the church bells as they ring in Inlet, which is close,"as the crow flies"
